An Invitation

We always have the choice of how to participate in this life. Edgar Cayce taught that free will is stronger than the effect of the horoscope. And yet, on a deeper level, we chose to come into the earth at a specific time and place to experience life from a certain mix of vibrations, our distinct hum and blueprint for this journey.

In our 4-session journey through the stars, we will explore the essential symbols of our natal chart, the Sun Moon and Rising signs and the relationships that bring them to life. We will reflect on the planetary patterns present at birth and consider how the planets moving in the sky today (transiting planets) mirror cycles of change, growth, and timing in our lives. Each session will begin with a short meditation and prayer. Through this exploration, participants may gain deeper self-understanding, greater compassion for others, and renewed clarity about how their gifts can be offered in service to the world.

Prior to each session, Karen will share optional materials to support your preparation. More importantly, the group itself becomes a living vessel for learning—one grounded in trust, mutual respect, and authentic sharing. The class meets privately on Zoom, and participants agree to share their birth time, date, and place within this confidential circle.

☉ Session One: The Astrological Landscape. An introduction to the natal chart and the symbolic layout of planetary placement.

☽ Session Two: Sun–Moon Relationship and Sabian Symbols. Exploring the dialogue between core identity and emotional life through symbolic imagery.

✧ Session Three: Planetary Wisdom. An overview of the planets.

♃ Session Four: Aspects, Transits, and Progressions. Understanding how planetary movement reflects change, timing, and growth over time.

About the Presenters

Karen Baker
Astrologer

For over 50 years, Karen Hansis Baker has used astrology as her go-to for understanding herself, her relationships, and the world around her. Her passion is to share the tools of astrology, as a language and weather report and to encourage and enhance the unique contributions that each of us possess. She has experienced the power of a small group to create lasting change in individuals and the world. Through her ARE Study Group, her poetry groups, and now with this astrology study group, she continues to co-create small communities of synergy and fellowship.

Moderator

Maridel Barr, J.D. is a long-time student of the Cayce readings. She discovered Edgar Cayce as a teenager when she picked up a health book about him on her grandmother's coffee table. She is currently the Coordinator for the No. California Association for Research and Enlightenment and is serving as the program coordinator for this workshop.
